The mural examples above show a variety of different styles and layouts because each client asked for different things.

Some clients asked for full room nature murals that included animals in their natural habitats.

  • One of these was for an adorable girl who loved penguins. I painted lots of penguins on icebergs and the scene wrapped around her whole room. Her mirrored closet made what I painted, look even more full of penguins.
  • Another bedroom was painted for a boy who loved Yosemite Park. His family camped there each year and gave me a list of park landmarks to include. Yosemite Park Monument, Half Dome, Sequoias, and a campground area with a few tents were important to them. This mural was painted onto closet doors as well so the room really had a forest feeling.
  • I painted a dog and wolf mural for a girl who loves them. Dogs are climbing on rock formations with a painted sky, grasses and trees. I also painted her a wolf den with a wolf and pups.
  • Nature murals can be painted in a crisp, modern style like the brown bears and polar bears.
  • Nature murals can be painted in a paint-by-number style like the one with the deer drinking by the stream.
  • And some clients prefer a soft, watercolor style like the forest wall mural I painted for a client who loves hiking.

Some clients wanted simple nature murals that had the painted elements sprinkled around their rooms.

  • I painted a simple mural of a duck pond with cattails and grasses, on the closet of a baby nursery. And their closet wont ever be covered by furniture.
  • Another baby room had mural elements going around the whole room. I painted lolling hills animals sprinkled in places that would always be seen. A large tree, deer, raccoons, bunnies, a turtle, a bird house with birds, wild flowers and a basket of puppies all fit.
  •  Another baby room had a dog theme. This new mom wanted all her family and friend’s dogs represented in the mural. So I painted quite a few dogs on the wall above her crib and then painted a dog themed custom border on the other upper walls.

But nature murals aren’t just for babies and kids.

  • I painted a Lake Havasu mural in a garage. My client and his family traveled there often and he thought it would be nice to have a mural painted on their huge garage wall where he stored all his vacation toys.
  • I also painted a golf scene mural over a desk in a home office. (Visited this client recently and they are still enjoying it 10 years later!)
  • I painted wildflowers and butterflies on a garden gate, too.

I would love to paint a nature mural for you.
