Small Dog Big Adventures – A Memoir

If you love dogs, you’ll enjoy this easy-to-read, non-fiction book called Small Dog, Big Adventures: Meet Lucie – My First Pet Ever!

Written and illustrated by muralist, Colette Stroffolino – me.

Ever wondered what it would be like to take your dog to work with you?

Yes I’m a little quirky. My little Chihuahua, Lucie used to go to work with me. Because Lucie had separation anxiety she became a working dog. My clients were so kind to me when I unexpectedly got a puppy and I was happily surprised by how often they said yes to me bringing her with me on jobs.

(My current dog – Taz is super tiny too, only 3 pounds, and now that he’s over 13, clients often have me to bring him with me. He’s super chill and loves to relax in his bed and watch me paint.)

After Lucie passed away, writing every memory I had about her was very therapeutic. I wanted to remember everything about her forever.

I didn’t know I could love so much…and I grew so much because of having her in my life.

Memoir of a well loved dog

Sometimes life’s most treasured experiences start out feeling a little scary because we don’t know what to expect…and this is one of those stories.

Know anyone thinking about getting a first pet or a puppy?

Reading this book, they will learn a lot – but in a fun way.

Small Dog, Big Adventures is a heartwarming story about connection, unconditional love and real-life situations that come up when getting a first puppy.

A 10-year-old reader wrote in, “I really liked the beginning because you really didn’t know what you were doing.”

And, I really didn’t!
